Vedic Astrology

Vedic astrology, also known as Jyotish Shastra, is an ancient Indian system of astrology based on the position of planets and stars at the time of a person’s birth. It originates from the Vedas, the oldest sacred texts of India, and follows the Sidereal Zodiac (fixed star system) rather than the Tropical Zodiac used in Western astrology.

Key Features of Vedic Astrology

1. Nine Planets (Navagrahas) – Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu.
2.Twelve Zodiac Signs (Rashi) – Aries (Mesha) to Pisces (Meena).
3. Twelve Houses (Bhavas) – Each representing different aspects of life like career, relationships, health, wealth, etc.
4. Nakshatras (Lunar Mansions) – 27 constellations that further refine predictions.
5. Dasha System – Planetary time periods that influence different phases of life.
6. Ascendant (Lagna) – The rising sign at birth, which defines personality and life path.
